Alright, so if you have a brand spanking new online brand, you might be asking yourself…
“How exactly am I going to get this poppin’ off? What do I need to do on an everyday basis to make it successful?”
The answer lies in your digital marketing… and I’ll give you a laundry list of things to get familiar with so that you can properly build you brand.
As an online marketer, you’re undoubtedly going to have a whole lot on your plate.
You’ll need to learn the ins and outs of creating copy and content that works.
And frankly, that comes with a lot of trial and error. (But that’s a good thing, so don;t sweat that part.) You’ll always be doing A/B split testing with your work, such as calls-to-action, links, and subject lines.
You’ll have to keep your eye on social media all the time and stay engaged with your followers. You’ll need to expose your brand on many different platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc….
And don’t forget about videos. That’s the future of marketing. So you’ll need to learn how to film and edit.
Then you’ll have to study analytics. Know your conversion rates. Know your key performance indicators. Know exactly where you fall short of meeting your marketing and sales goals.
There’s a lot of multi-tasking between creating stuff like…
– blog posts
– product descriptions
– landing pages
– video scripts
– case studies
– white papers
– slide decks
… and the list goes on.
Then there’s email. You’ll have to research people’s email addresses, create scripts that will hopefully get some profitable responses, answer and follow up on emails, plus make sure that your sequence is flowing smoothly.
And then there’s the beast of cold-calling. Ugh. Everyone hates cold-calling, but sometimes it just needs to be done. Make sure that you block out a certain number of hours to make your calls and track your results.
Can you handle all of that? Of course, you’re not going to be doing every single thing listed every day, but you will for sure have to do a lot.
So be prepared before you dive in…..
