Timing is everything when it comes to posting on social media.
Especially when you’re running an online brand.
Whenever you do make an update, the goal is to get it in front of as many eyes as possible. That’s why it’s good to know when to post right away or when to schedule it for later.
The best time to post on Facebook is between 1-4pm, late into the week and on weekends.
For Twitter, optimal times are between 12–3pm, with a peak time at 5pm.
Saturdays work best on Pinterest, with high traffic hours from 8-11pm.
Instagram audiences are typically engaged throughout the entire week. The best times to post pics or videos on there are between 8-9am, or at 5pm.
As you can see, it can vary from platform to platform.
But the absolute best way to find out is to do your OWN testing. Schedule your posts at 9am for one week, 12 noon for the next week, and at 3pm for the week after.
Check your social media analytics and see for yourself which posts are getting the best responses and engagement.
Are you getting any likes and reposts? Any new followers? Any conversation in your comment section?
Having a precise understanding of your audience’s response rate will help you continue to create better content for them in the future.
